Design
One of the most special things about the Subaru Wilderness models is the changes made to the build and design. The Subaru Outback was the first vehicle to receive a Wilderness trim level. All models have 9.5 inches of ground clearance instead of 8.7 inches. Front skid plates protect the important components under the vehicle from damage from the elements as you travel around Fitchburg or take your family off-road. The Outback Wilderness models also have redesigned front and rear bumpers with more body cladding around them and the wheel wells. The roof rails are reinforced and can carry over 700 pounds, and all models get a unique matte-black front hood decal.
Performance
The Subaru Outback Wilderness model is the strongest of the Wilderness bunch. All models have a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Design
