If you're looking for the perfect opportunity to go trick-or-treating in the afternoon, the Main Street Fitchburg Trick or Treat event is a great family-friendly option. The event will start right outside the Fitchburg Public Library. Join the rest of the city on Oct. 29, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., for candy, games, and other fun activities. The entire family is invited to wear costumes and trick-or-treat at the local businesses to collect Halloween candy.

When you're done collecting treats, head over to Mill Street and play spooky games. You can also expect food trucks, music, and a costume contest in the evening.

Of course, you'll also have a chance to visit the water park, which the Great Wolf Lodge staff keeps warm, even as the weather outside cools down. If you are a family of thrill-seekers, this is an adventurous way to countdown to your favorite fall holiday. If you’re already missing the heat of the summer months, a spooky trip to the water park might be exactly what you need.

This year, you're invited to the Ghoul County Correctional Facility for a spooky time and a prison theme.
